I'm a year 5 pupil and I did todays weighing. I think we could recycle about half of our rubbish but it is still going in the bins. Did anyone have this poblem and how did you solve it?

This week has gone very wrong for us. When we weighed the rubbish every bag was very heavy. We think that there is a lot of water in the bags from being out in the rain and other groups have been using our bin. Our Eco Committee are having an emergency meeting today to come up with an action plan to see how we can improve things.

First out teacher had to climb into the large bin to get all the bin bags out.

Unfortunately this one split! Yuck!

Our teacher escaped before we could shut the lid!

We weighed one of us, then took their weight away each time we weighed some rubbish bags.

We didn’t like the smell of the rubbish!
